The Captain Varkocs legend:
It was a great duty to follow the steps of the captain Varkocs. The city was very interesting, we liked to explore, feel the old history of Hungary… but unfortunately we didn’t find the statue. After asking to people we understood that the statue was removed for restoration. So we decided replace the statue and Matteo was a perfect captain!
Nobody could explain us his story, except an old lady in a boutique:
An old lady from a clothing shop knew some informations about George Varkovics. (She could speak only Hungarian). She told us that George Varkovics was a castle warden in Székesfehérvár who protected the city from the Turkish. His statue was taken to this place (to the main street) because it is the center of the city but the castle was on another location (outside of the city center). But after he was killed or betrayed by the Hungarians.

After few more researches in internet, we found that György Varkocs died in the assault of the city in 1543 after, according to legend; the defenders of the fortress closed the gate in front of him. The statue takes place on a part the wall of the castle.
